The Star Wars Episode 9 release date has been announced and it’s sooner than you might think.

Star Wars: Episode IX is now set for release on May 24, 2019. It’s being directed by Colin Trevorrow (who also directed Jurassic World) and will be the final movie in the Star Wars’s third trilogy.

Colin Trevorrow had previously spoken about how he wanted to replicate George Lucas’ approach to making a Star Wars film. He announced that he just wanted “to embrace that kind of invention and creativity that he (George Lucas) brought to it. When George Lucas made Star Wars, people thought it was crazy. But it’s the greatest story ever told,”.

We have to agree… if we are talking about the (original) originals. Let’s hope that style continues right up to the Star Wars Episode 9 24th May 2019 release date.

Star Wars Episode 9 will be released on May 24th 2019.

It has also already been confirmed with obvious sadness that Carrie Fisher (through CGI or previous scenes filmed) will not be in the movie.

The title of the movie is not currently known and won’t be for some time, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get excited.

Tom keeps things ticking over. He likes relevant use of movie quotes in real life situations and loves film-production, photography, drawing and copywriting.
